The electronics consist of three components, A controller board that drives lights, switches and monitors sensor inputs,
a computer with a dash display and the engine ECU.
Dash Software
The dash software displays the dash interface and communicates with the controller board and engine ECU.
The dash software is in development, written in C++ using OpenGL and runs on Windows, Mac OS and Linux supporting the ARM based Raspberry Pi board.
Controller
The controller interfaces with the dash computer through a serial connection, is powered by 12v and has a 32 pin pinput connector and three 12 pin power lines.
The controller is designed to drive the Lights, door locks, power windows, horn, fans, power steering assist
and monitor wheen speed, temperatures, fuel level,
unlock door and hood commands.
The controller board is currently under development and more detail will be published when complete.
